The Training Program:
The advanced badminton training program is designed to cater to the specific needs of these budding athletes, offering a comprehensive program that will focus on technical, tactics, physical, psychological and lifestyles of the athletes. Under the guidance of experienced coaches, the players will undergo intensive training sessions that cover every aspect of the game, ensuring a well-rounded development that goes beyond mere skill enhancement.
Weekly Tournaments:
A weekly tournament will serve as a testing ground for the players’ to showcase their newly acquired skills. This will also provide a stage for them to compete against their peers. This competitive environment will foster a spirit of healthy rivalry, pushing each player to continuously strive for improvement and excellence.
Coaches’ Observations:
Throughout the training program, coaches will closely monitor the players’ progress, observing their on-court performance and assessing their adherence to the training regimen. The observation will allow the coaches to design their program to each player’s specific needs, ensuring a personalized and effective training experience.
Physical Tests:
The federation will conduct a pilot badminton-specific test to this group. The intention is to establish a benchmark for physical fitness that will be required to be part of national team. The standardized scores will serve as a reference point for future assessments, ensuring that national athletes undergo testing based on a uniform and badminton-specific standard set by the federation.
Pathway to International Representation:
Through this advanced training program, federation will identify and nurture the potential talents who will have the opportunity to represent the national team. Coaches will carefully assess the players’ performances, both in training and in tournaments, to select those who exhibit the skills, determination, and mental resilience required to compete at the highest level.
This initiative not only seeks to refine the skills of the nation’s young badminton enthusiasts but also aims to expose potential champions who will proudly represent their country. Through a rigorous training, competitive tournaments, and expert guidance, this program aspires to elevate the standard of badminton in the nation and create a legacy of excellence for future generations.
